HOMA CALCULATOR TO CALCULATE RESISTANCE SCORE USING HOMEOSTASIS MODEL ASSESSMENT

Insulin is a protein in the human body that plays a major role in decreasing the levels of glucose in the blood. Homeostasis Model Assessment (HOMA) scores consisting of fasting insulin and glucose levels from the serum are used to assess insulin resistance. There are currently no publically available software to calculate HOMA using C-peptide, which affect the researcher time of calculation the formulas. Developing a tool capable of calculation of Homeostasis Model Assessment (HOMA) scores based on both C-Peptide and fasting insulin levels in a consistent and transparent fashion, will allow researchers to customize the parameters and save their time of the HOMA calculation to fit their individual requirements.
